Psalter Lane to University and City

From Psalter Lane take Cemetery Rd. Turn left on to Summerfield St. Use "advisory" cycle lanes (traffic can use these lanes if there is insufficient room on the main carriageway.)

For Sheffield University (central area), at Ecclesall Rd go straight across on to Sunny Bank (Improvements are taking place here - Aug 06). Go up to Wharncliffe Rd and straight on to Brunswick St. Cross Glossop Rd to enter the campus area. Carry your bike up the steps on the left to reach the concourse, or turn right on Hounsfield Lane, then left on Hounsfield Rd. You should dismount at the top to enter the campus.

For the Mappin St/West St area, from Brunswick St turn right onto Broomspring Lane. Use the cycle crossing over Hanover Way, shortly after turn left onto Victoria St. Cross Glossop Rd (beware of tram tracks) and continue to Leavygreave Rd

For the city centre, turn right onto Ecclesall Rd and use the bus lane (peak hour only) At the Moore St roundabout, take the underpass signposted "All Cyclists" (take care as this is shared use and quite narrow). In the centre of the pedestrianised area, choose your route from the cycle route signposts.
