Cycle Parking Letter

Re: Welcoming Cyclists
I enjoyed my visit to your premises today but was disappointed by the provision for bike parking. May I suggest some improvements?
Cyclists and cycling organisations recommend the Sheffield Stand as a simple inexpensive facility for securing bicycles. Each costs about £100 to buy and install and can accommodate two bikes. As I am sure you aware, providing car parking is a great deal more expensive than this.
Ideally the stands should be sited close to your main entrance, overlooked by passing staff and visitors. The presence of bikes in such a prominent location sends out a clear message to all, "Leave your car at home, come here by bike."
Advice, guidance (and possible funding) is available from your Council Cycling Officer.
