Cycle parking is on the opposite side of the Moor.

Poor quality cycle racks and not enough of them. Poor cycle access despite being adjacent to Inner Ring cycle route. Traffic calming measures in car park encourage motorists to veer into the paths of oncoming cyclists.

Poor quality cycle racks outside store often full with store's own stock.

Cycle Access a half-mile trek round the car park. Cycle stands usually full of trolleys.


Meadowhall Retail Complex

Toys'R'Us, Hobbycraft, Currys, Homebase, PC World, Bensons etc

No cycle parking.


Millhouses cafe


Very popular with cyclists and yet has no proper cycle stands.


Greens Health and Fitness:

The automatic barrier entering the car park, when presented with a bike, will raise a few feet and then slam down. Instead of fixing this (by changing the barrier 'logic' to open the barrier completely), Greens suggest that cyclists ride on the pavement (a couple of feet wide) to avoid the barrier.

Berkeley Precinct

Tesco/Pizza Hut/Blockbuster Video, Ecclesall Road: inadequate exposed cycle parking, despite having an extensive awning around the buildings where bicycle stands could be located in the dry.

Nether Green Surgery

No cycle parking at all.
